Skypanther Studios, Inc. was formed in 2003 to provide custom web development and hosting services to small businesses, environmental groups, and individuals. Our clients have ranged from individual musicians, environmental groups, to large corporations. The company's flagship product is FestOS™, the "festival operating system."

About Tim Poulsen

Owner and lead developer Tim Poulsen has been "working the web" for over a decade. Tim has worked in all aspects of computing, from stringing network cabling, managing networks and systems, training in classroom and online settings, and writing books, magazine articles, and numerous training courses. Of course, Tim has developed all of the web sites for Skypanther customers. Tim selects the right tool for the job, but favors open source tools, including PHP, MySQL, Apache, and jQuery.

Tim is happily married with three beautiful children who keep his non-work hours filled to overflowing. He wishes he could spend more time and money restoring their 1890s-vintage Victorian home. Tim enjoys woodworking, amateur astronomy, and birdwatching. And he loves combining his "geeky" skills with his hobbies: like setting up a live web cam to watch the bluebirds nest in one of his nest boxes; or writing a program to send himself twitter updates hourly with his weather station's stats.

Tim earned the rank of black belt rank in Shorin Ryu karate in 2008 and continues to train actively. He's currently working on adding Jiu Jitsu and weapons practices to his repertoire.
